Gym rules

Safety and security:

• Use of the gym is strictly reserved for Smallville residents.
• Alcohol consumption is forbidden.
• Smoking in the gym is strictly forbidden.
• Glass bottles are strictly forbidden.

Cleanliness:

• Use shoes which are suitable for exercise.
• Cover seats and backrests with a clean cloth during use.
• Alcohol consumption is forbidden.
• The gym door must be closed at all times.
• Close the windows in the evening when leaving the gym.
• Tidy the weights after each use.

Communal kitchen rules

Cleanliness:

• Each tenant is responsible for cleaning the kitchen and clearing up after each use (worktop, sink, dishes, microwave, cooker, oven, table etc.). This is not the responsibility of Smallville staff.
• Dispose of or recycle all packaging in the appropriate containers.
• Rinse each sponge and dishcloth after use.
• Dispose of food waste in the bins provided.
• Which is not stored away will be disposed of without warning during random inspections.
• If you wish to share items or food with other tenants, please mark this on the items in question.

Safety and security:

• The site is monitored by CCTV and features a high-security entry locking system.
• Never leave a hob or the oven turned on unsupervised.
• You are responsible for switching off every electrical appliance after use.
• Frying food on the hob or in the oven is strictly prohibited.
• In the event of a small fire, cover the pot or pan with a lid or damp cloth.
• Never move the object on fire or spray it with water.
• Placing metallic objects in the microwave is strictly prohibited.
• Rotten food will be disposed of without warning during random inspections.
• Refrigerating food which is not stored in a container or sealed plastic bag is not permitted.
• Do not slice food on the worktop itself – you must use a chopping board.
• Theft in the kitchen will not be tolerated. If you’d like to borrow something from another tenant, you must ask their permission.
• Alcoholic drinks are strictly prohibited in the kitchen and all other communal areas.
• The kitchen door must stay closed at all times.

Failing to comply with these rules may result in punishment by a fine of up to CHF 300 or being asked to leave the residence.
